Media Mastery: Representing Yourself, Your Association and Your Profession Through the Media

Register at www.fpama.org/symposia

Working with journalists is one of the easiest ways to increase your visibility and enhance your brand. With an ever increasing news cycle and the onslaught of online news coverage, the time is right to learn what you can do to master working with the media to amplify your own exposure and the important role financial planners play.

Join the FPA of New England for Media Mastery, an interactive media training presentation on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 2:30 to 5 pm. Conducted by Ben Lewis, FPA’s Director of Public Relations, the training will walk FPA members through the necessary skills and tactics for working with the media. Ben will cover:

  • How to best prepare for an interview to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible
  • How to master the skills needed to perform at a high level during an interview
  • How to display great poise when working with reporters
  • How to protect your reputation when working with reporters

This training is required for any CFP® member who wishes to be part of FPA MediaSource – the automated media query platform that sends media requests right to your inbox!

Journalist panel will be included!

We will also hear from a panel of nationally-recognized journalists who cover personal finance and financial planning. You will hear directly from them on what they look for in sources, best practices for connecting with journalists and much more. There will also be ample time to get your questions answered.
