Advocacy Committee

Volunteers work together to advance the financial planning profession with key governmental decision-makers. The center of our activities is the state legislature, formally known as The General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Our Advocacy Committee also maintains relationships with the Massachusetts Securities Division, the Massachusetts Division of Insurance, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and the Office of the State Treasurer. Activities include State Advocacy Days, which are annual visits to state legislators, typically for two days in June and Federal Advocacy days also in June where we convene with advocacy members from all chapters in the nation’s Capital. All Chapter members are invited to participate. It is an excellent opportunity to meet with your own legislators and present FPANE’s views on current issues. Email admin@fpama.org if you are interested in joining the committee.
