Wealth Advisor position: Darrow Wealth Management is a boutique fee-only SEC-registered investment advisor located in Greater Boston. Established in 1987, we offer comprehensive financial planning and investment management to individuals and families.
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Wealth Advisor to join our team. The primary focus for the Wealth Advisor is relationship management and client service, supporting the firm’s clients both independently and as part of a small team. The successful candidate is a problem-solver and team player with a can-do attitude. Experience in a similar role preferred, particularly with a registered investment advisor.
As we offer holistic wealth management, knowledge in the following areas is essential: investment management, estate planning, insurance, financial planning, tax planning, relationship management.
The Wealth Advisor will also have a versatile skill set, comfortable managing end-to-end client relationships or stepping in as needed to support the team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client relationships, both independently and as part of a team, through client meetings and communications
  • Service clients through planning updates, run client reviews, identify new opportunities and strategic changes
  • Respond to routine client requests and questions
  • Develop comprehensive financial models as needed; run ad hoc analysis and projections
  • Coordinate, as needed, with client’s CPA, attorneys, and other professionals
  • Manage cash and security movements, including cashiering, gifting, wires, journals, RMDs
  • Utilize technology systems to track client servicing tasks, maintain databases, enter action items
  • Coordinate with administrative support as needed to prepare paperwork
  • Perform some administrative functions as needed for client servicing/internal operations
Qualifications and Strengths:
  • Experience in a similar capacity (5-7 years), preferably with a registered investment advisor
  • Extensive knowledge in multiple practice areas essential to providing comprehensive wealth management services to high net worth individuals
  • Detail-oriented self-starter
  • Proven ability to manage the entire client relationship independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Highly organized, proactive, resourceful problem-solver
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to prioritize
  • CFP® and Series 65 securities registration preferred
  • Team-player with a positive attitude, comfortable wearing multiple hats
  • Prior experience working with a small team highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
