Job Title: Tax Preparer/Investment Analyst

Location: Metro west – Carlisle, MA

Holistic financial services firm is seeking an alert, conscious new member of the team with the right blend of technical skills, tax and investment knowledge, and interest in service. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, professional individual with excellent technical, interpersonal and communication skills to successfully support tax preparation services, support investment analysis processes, and interact with team members; highly skilled ability to discern and follow through on multiple priorities; be able to shift gears effectively; and possess impeccable integrity.

 Purpose: Be an integral part of the team supporting the Company AIM with a base of clarity, organization, purpose, and enthusiasm.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, estates
  • Coordinating with clients to obtain needed tax preparation information and to ensure timely payment of client’s tax payments
  • Maintaining knowledge of current tax laws and accounting standards
  • Maintaining accurate billing time records for each client
  • Monitoring cashiering needs in clients investment accounts
  • Completing year-end tax loss harvesting review
  • Providing liaison and oversight to the Investment Implementation process
  • Researching mutual funds, exchange traded funds, fixed income strategies in coordination with Investment Committee
  • Semi Annual Rebalancing
  • Ability to work independently and discern priorities
  • Hold highest integrity and care for clients and co-workers
  • Strong Attention to detail

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in LaCerte Tax Software
  • Computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Investment Software programs (i.e. Trade Warrior, Morningstar, Orion, Riskalyze and other investment software)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proven organization, detail, follow through and time management skills
  • Ease and confidence in navigating technology and software
  • Experience in the financial industry a plus but not necessary
  • Series 65, Series 7 eventual requirements if not already acquired
